Sajad S. Afshari, a distinguished aerospace engineer with a Ph.D. from the Sharif University of Technology and the University of British Columbia, has a rich academic and professional trajectory in both higher education and the industry. His scholarly pursuits culminated in a doctoral degree in 2018, following which he embarked on a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Manitoba for five years, within the Department of Mechanical Engineering. 

Skilled in an array of technical domains such as mechatronics, numerical simulation, experimental mechanics, and machine learning techniques, Sajad has a particular knack for reliability engineering. His expertise extends to the realm of stochastic dynamics and control of aerospace systems, underlining his interdisciplinary approach to engineering challenges.

Currently, Sajad is spearheading a project focused on the development of probabilistic and stochastic machine learning methods for enhancing dynamic systems' controllability and reliability. This endeavor aims to bolster the reliability of control systems in aerospace and mechanical systems, epitomizing his dedication to marrying theoretical insights with practical solutions to further the frontier of aerospace engineering and related fields.
